A few days ago I went to a place where I was before and previously connected my laptop to WiFi. The network and password didn’t change but I couldnt’ connect. Near the network’s name it was a strange error message “The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network.“ that I couldn’t surpass. After trying all kind of fixes like turning off and on the adapter or trying to restart my laptop a friend showed me how to get rid of the annoying message. Here are the steps I had to do:
- Right click on the wireless network and choose Properties
- In the security tab, choose: Security Type = No authentication (Open) and click Ok
- Notice you are not connected to that WiFi network anymore so you can try to connect again by clicking Connect and typing the password
This is it. I don’t really why you need to do these steps but it helps.
